This Privacy Policy explains what personal data we collect when you use n8nport.com and our managed n8n hosting service (the "Service"), why we collect it, and what rights you have over it. It is written to comply with the UK GDPR and the Data Protection Act 2018.

1. Who this policy applies to
This policy applies to visitors of n8nport.com, registered users of the Service, and customers on any N8nPort plan (Free Launch, Founding Five, Managed, Agency 5, Agency 10).
2. What data we collect
Account data. Name, email address, and — if you sign in with Google — the basic profile information Google shares with us (name, email, profile photo) under Google's OAuth consent flow.
Billing data. When you subscribe to a paid plan, our payment processor (e.g. Stripe) collects and stores your payment card details directly. N8nPort does not store full card numbers on its own servers.
Workspace and workflow data. Content you create inside your managed n8n workspace — including workflow configurations, execution logs, and any third-party service credentials (API keys, OAuth tokens) you add to your own workflow nodes. These credentials are stored within your dedicated n8n workspace and are not accessed, viewed, or collected by N8nPort staff in the ordinary course of providing the Service.
Technical and usage data. IP address, browser type, device information, pages visited, and timestamps, collected via server logs and Cloudflare for security and performance purposes.
Communications. Any information you provide when you contact support, including the content of your messages.
Cookies. See Section 8.
3. How we use your data
To create and administer your account and managed workspace
To process payments and manage subscriptions
To provide HTTPS access, scheduled backups, and runtime health monitoring for your workspace
To send transactional emails (e.g. workspace launch confirmation, billing receipts, security notices)
To respond to support requests
To detect, investigate, and prevent fraud, abuse, or security incidents
To improve the Service and understand aggregate usage patterns
To comply with legal obligations
4. Legal basis for processing (UK GDPR)
We process your data under the following lawful bases:
Contract — to provide the Service you signed up for (account creation, hosting, billing)
Legitimate interests — to secure our infrastructure, prevent abuse, and improve the product
Consent — for optional cookies and marketing communications, where applicable
Legal obligation — for tax, accounting, and regulatory record-keeping
5. Who we share data with
We share limited data with the following categories of third-party processors, solely to operate the Service:
Purpose | Category of recipient |
|---|---|
Domain, DNS, security, bot management | Cloudflare, Inc. |
Underlying compute/hosting infrastructure | Our infrastructure/cloud providers |
Authentication | Google (Google Sign-In) |
Payment processing | Our payment processor (e.g. Stripe) |
Transactional email delivery | Our email delivery provider |
We do not sell your personal data. We do not share the third-party API keys or credentials you store inside your own n8n workspace with anyone — those remain inside your workspace, under your control.
We may disclose data if required by law, court order, or to protect the rights, property, or safety of N8nPort, our users, or the public.
6. International data transfers
Some of our processors (e.g. Cloudflare, Google) may process data outside the UK/EEA. Where this happens, we rely on adequacy decisions or Standard Contractual Clauses (SCCs) / the UK International Data Transfer Addendum to ensure your data remains protected.
7. Data retention
We retain account and billing data for as long as your account is active, and for a reasonable period afterward to comply with tax and accounting obligations (typically up to 6 years for financial records under UK law). Workflow and workspace data is retained until you delete your workspace or close your account, after which it is deleted from active systems within a reasonable period, subject to backup rotation schedules.
8. Cookies
We use essential cookies required for authentication and site functionality, and may use analytics cookies to understand aggregate site usage. Where analytics or non-essential cookies are used, we will present a cookie consent banner allowing you to accept or decline them.
9. Your rights
Under UK GDPR, you have the right to:
Access the personal data we hold about you
Request correction of inaccurate data
Request deletion of your data ("right to be forgotten")
Object to or restrict certain processing
Request data portability
Withdraw consent at any time, where processing is based on consent
Lodge a complaint with the UK Information Commissioner's Office (ICO) at ico.org.uk
To exercise any of these rights, contact us at [SUPPORT EMAIL].
10. Data security
We use industry-standard measures — including HTTPS/TLS encryption, access controls, and scheduled backups — to protect your data. No system is 100% secure, and we encourage you to use strong, unique credentials for your account and any services you connect to your workflows.
11. Children's privacy
The Service is not directed at individuals under 16. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children.
12. Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Material changes will be communicated via email or a notice on the Service. The "Last updated" date at the top of this page reflects the most recent revision.
